Have you ever had those days?—the one you call bad days—where you can’t find your keys, matching socks or an important file? Well why deal with days like that when you can have a good days, every day all you have to do is get more organized.
This isn’t easy at first but once you get into the habit of being organized life becomes a lot easier.
Being organized has no disadvantages, it is something everyone can accomplish and be proud of. When you’re organized, not only do you get inner satisfaction but you get inner peace, control over your life and increased productivity. When everything is in its place and looks organized you will be able to finish projects quicker and will have more time for yourself, your family and things that count. You will have a de-cluttered environment and will also save time and money.
You can say as much as you want “I’m going to get organized”, but you won’t actually achieve your goal unless you really put your mind into it and have confidence in in yourself.
The first step to becoming organized is cleaning up all the extra clutter and discarding everything that you don’t need. When everything is clean you can then start organizing your space. There are ways to organize different things for example: when organizing papers or bills you can place them by date or subject. This way you can easily access your documents without having to look for them agitatedly. However when you are organizing a closet you can do it by color or by categorizing it—for example, put all your shirts on one side and all your sweaters on another, this way you won’t waste a lot of time getting dressed.
Many people think using an agenda is just a waste of time or only busy people use it. However this is all false. Planning your day beforehand is a great strategy and not only will it help you save time, remember assignments, important dates, etc., it will help you stay organized.
One of the biggest things people struggle doing is keeping up good habits. Yes, after your organized you feel really good about yourself but what happens when the day is done and you’re worn-out? Or when you have to do the next laundry but you’re feeling tired?—you put the clutter away without organizing it saying you’ll do it later. This might look good at the moment but is very bad in the long run. Putting everything away properly then and there, will help you save time later and eventually it will become a good habit.
A great deal of stress comes from bills. When to pay them? How much? What for? Well organizing your bills will help keep away this unwanted stress. Organizing by month will help you pay them on time as well. Making a budget for shopping is very useful, plan ahead how much you’re going to spend on food, clothes, gifts, etc. Try putting a reasonable budget that you are capable of doing but a little challenging to achieve. This will cut down on your bills and reduce stress.
