how to be satisfied

When life doesn’t go the way you want it to go and you have problems that consume you, it can be very hard to be appreciative and be satisfied with your life. We have a fix for that.

How can YOU be truly Satisfied with your life?

Satisfaction comes from within and only you and you alone have the power to make yourself content and at peace with yourself. But then when life doesn’t go the way you planned it and you face problems, I honestly don’t blame you for feeling frustrated. In tough times of hardship and tribulations, it gets extremely hard for even the best of us to stay appreciative and satisfied.

Millions of people deal with financial, emotional and physical problems on a daily basis. I mean after being ground like a rock on a regular basis; I understand that to look above it and still be satisfied and happy with who you are and what you have is a very tough thing to do. But what you need to keep in mind is that being satisfied isn’t impossible and you can get there. It’s all in your head.

1. Transform Your Thought  Process

The first step to overcoming any issue, no matter what it, is to change your thinking towards it. And you have probably heard this a lot and think “yeah, whatever” but it continues to be the most important step towards satisfaction. You must begin to think Positive. Change your perspective. Maybe losing your job was not such a bad thing so you can pursue your passion. Or maybe getting sick was the only way you were going to stay home and rest and God sort of forced you into it?

If your thoughts remain positive it gives you the strength and commitment to continue. Positivity is a mandatory requirement to achieve whatever you wish to achieve. You must master it.

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.― Mahatma Gandhi

2. Clarify Your Mind and Reflect

The second step to being more satisfied with your life is to actually stop thinking so much. Our minds are amazing machines, but many times this sheer processing power can turn against us. By overthinking we unknowingly make connections that aren’t really there and eventually things that aren’t very likely to happen or aren’t really there begin to become a reality.

For example, an automatic mind process that many people do is compares themselves to others, and this is causes a huge crack in their personal satisfaction. By drooling over things you don’t have you forget what’s right in front of you and stop being satisfied with your life.

Always look at people lower than you to be thankful, look at people higher than you to set goals and look at the people around you to be satisfied and happy.

Keep your support group close and don’t actively compare yourself with others. Be thankful for what you have and understand the true value of your life by giving to those who are less fortunate. If you can do that much I guarantee you will have happiness and satisfaction in your life very soon.

3. Smile 🙂

The last and final step is to smile more. If you follow the steps above and act on them, you will already have become a more positive, relaxed and well-supported person. You will already have the strength to tackle whatever life throws at you.

So SMILE and let the world see it.

Many individuals believe this step is unnecessary, but I disagree. This step is the most important step among all 3. When you smile you don’t just look great but you release stress and create endorphins which make you happier and positive. Smiling also makes people around you like you more, and indirectly makes you like yourself. Making you that much more satisfied with your life.

Final Words

At the end of the day, satisfaction is simply a mind GAME. Always keep in mind you are both team A, team B and the referee. You have complete control over the outcome.

So keep the right perspective that only you have the key to your contentment. Don’t let people tell you any different and don’t let them put you down. You are legendary and you deserve happiness.

Best of Luck!
